2020 center Ethan Lane commits to NC State

Welcome aboard, son.

NCAA Football: North Carolina State at North Carolina Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

The red light is on in Raleigh for the second time in three days, in this case for offensive lineman Ethan Lane, who is a football prospect in the 2020 recruiting class, which is big time since we been looking for some football players. Lane picked NC State over offers from Louisville and Memphis, among others.

Since he has announced that he is fully 1000% committed, he will be forced to serve jail time if he decommits later on. Hey, I don’t make the rules.

Lane plays for Archer High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and he was in Raleigh for an unofficial visit in late March, which is when Dave Doeren extended him a scholarship offer. He’s listed at 6’3” and 270 pounds by 247Sports.

Lane doesn’t have a star rating from 247 or Rivals at this point, but as we’ve seen time and time again, State’s staff does a great job of evaluating talent and getting in on kids before anybody else seems to catch on. His offer sheet will grow as this recruiting cycle progresses.

Lane is the eighth 2020 recruit to commit to State and the second from Georgia.
