NC State stays rolling on the recruiting trail in June with the addition of Nehki Meredith to the 2020 class. Meredith is a consensus three-star defensive back prospect from Virginia Beach. He announced his commitment on Saturday night.

Meredith has an impressive offer sheet that includes LSU, Penn State, Nebraska, Maryland, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. He’s a consensus three-star prospect, but 247Sports regards him as a fringe four-star guy and a top-400 player nationally.
He shows off some good tackling skills in his highlight reel, despite being on the smaller side at 5’10 and 178. (You can tell he’s obviously a better athlete than most of the kids on the field, but still.)
Meredith told Pack Pride that the Wolfpack staff thinks he could play anywhere in the defensive backfield, though I’d imagine his options will be somewhat limited until he adds some weight.
With Meredith’s addition, NC State has 15 commitments for 2020.
