It’s a red light weekend.

The weekend’s recruiting success continued on Saturday for NC State, this time with the verbal commitment of consensus three-star offensive tackle Patrack Matan, who plays for Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC.

That’s three commitments in three days and, hey, I could get used to this. Let the June flow.

Matan is listed at 6’4 and 296 pounds by 247Sports and is considered one of the top 15 prospects in DC for this cycle. Based on his highlights, he spent most of his time at right tackle during his junior season. He joins recent additions Stephen Gosnell (WR) and Davin Vann (DT) in the Wolfpack’s 2020 class.

Matan has a solid offer sheet that includes Maryland, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Navy.

NC State has 11 verbals for 2020 and its class is currently ranked 19th in the 247 team composite rankings—that’s good for sixth-best in the ACC.
