The latest addition to NC State’s 2021 recruiting class is running back/athlete Caleb McDowell, who is the first member of the class from outside of North Carolina. The Leesburg, GA, product announced his commitment via Twitter on Wednesday.

McDowell recently added offers from Syracuse and Indiana, and also has offers from Cincinnati, Colorado, Purdue, and East Carolina. He’s not currently rated in the 247 Composite rankings, though based on the interest level he’s getting, he’ll probably end up a three-star.

And this wouldn’t be the first time State has gotten in on a Georgia kid before his stock jumped way up—recently the Pack has lost a couple kids to Georgia Tech when this happened.

McDowell is listed at 5’10 and 175 pounds and is being recruited by State’s offensive staff, though I don’t know if running back is where he’ll end up.
