NC State added its sixth commitment for 2021 on Tuesday with the addition of in-state offensive tackle prospect Jaleel Davis. Davis is the high school teammate of Jakolbe Baldwin, who committed to the Wolfpack in March.
Davis, who prefers to be called The Human Force Field*, is listed at 6’6 and 300 pounds by 247Sports. He is a consensus three-star prospect and a top-50 player in North Carolina this cycle.
(*possibly not true)
Davis already has a solid offer sheet that includes Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Maryland. And based on NC State’s recruiting history under Dave Doeren, Davis will most likely see that offer sheet grow more impressive as the year progresses. (And assuming there’s a high school football season, of course.)
NC State has four commitments from North Carolina prospects, while the other two are from Georgia. The Pack’s recruiting class ranks 57th in the 247 Composite, though that’s probably more due to the low number of commitments than anything else.
