BTP The Offseason, Day 117: NC State’s football class up to 31st in 247 Composite rankings

NC State’s worrisome, slow start to the 2021 recruiting cycle seems a long way in the past at this point, what with the program in good shape for another consistently solid class. After landing commitments from the Seabrough twins on Saturday, the Pack’s class has moved up to 31st in the 247 team rankings.

That’s 10 spots higher than where the 2020 class finished in the rankings, and the average player rating has improved this year as well.

Within the ACC, the Pack’s class ranks eighth, though if you go by average prospect rating, the group is sixth, just a hair behind Louisville for fifth. Since we’re never going to out-recruit Clemson, Miami, and Florida State (as well as UNC, now, apparently?), being at the front of the second tier is what we should be aiming for realistically. And Dave Doeren has done a pretty good job of keeping State in that spot. This year it appears will be no different.
