NC State kept the June flowing on Monday with another football commitment—the program’s fifth this month. Southern Nash defensive back Jackson Vick, a consensus three-star prospect, is the latest to commit to State.

Vick has been on campus for unofficial visits a couple of times this month already, and he’s also been to Wake Forest, App State, and ECU. He also holds offers from those schools, as well as Duke and Syracuse. Vick is listed at 5’11 and 174 pounds by 247Sports, and he’s a top-20 player in North Carolina.
Vick has spent a lot of time at Southern Nash playing running back—Southern Nash is also where Bam Knight played in high school—but seems destined for the other side of the ball in college. Never know, though.
With Vick’s addition, NC State has six committed players in its 2022 recruiting class. (Which might feel low, but if you look around the ACC, you can see it isn’t atypical.) Four of the six are in-state kids.
