Terrell Timmons Jr. flipped on the red light Sunday night with his verbal commitment to play for NC State. As he alludes to in his tweet about it, he didn’t need long to make a decision—he was on a visit in Raleigh over the weekend, and just got an offer on Saturday.
When you know, you know. There was no time to waste!! Huge thank you to @jokerphillips and @StateCoachD and the whole @PackFootball coaching staff for believing in me! ❤️

Won’t disappoint‼️@NGHSFB pic.twitter.com/8hiYGKZ6Fo
Timmons is listed at 6’2 and 180 pounds by 247 Sports, and he plays for Northern Guilford in Greensboro. He does not have a composite recruiting rank, but is rated a three-star prospect and top-35 player in North Carolina by 247. NC State appears to be his first and only FBS offer at this point. (If his ‘crootin profile is accurate.) He also holds offers from James Madison, Elon, NC A&T, and Rhode Island.
Timmons is the first addition to State’s 2022 recruiting class since the beginning of August, and brings the group to 12 verbals. The class currently ranks 50th nationally, mostly because of its small size, I’d imagine.
