2014 college football Week 6 schedule: How to watch, TV channels, kickoff times

After the humdrum lineup of games last weekend, this Saturday promises a refreshing number of top 25 matchups, beginning, oddly enough, at noon, when Texas A&M and Mississippi State square off. I don't know how that one got squeezed out of prime time, but I ain't complainin'.

Before we get there, we have one potentially compelling game on Thursday in the Pac-12, though I've been underwhelmed by Arizona every time I've seen that team. There's also more Friday night ACC, which is a thing I'm still attempting to get used to. Syracuse! Louisville! If you squint at the slanty ACC logos, it'll seem like a traditional Big East game.

Elsewhere in the ACC, Virginia Tech is once again in the noon day-starter position, which is as it should be. The Hokies' mistake-prone and inconsistent offense is up against UNC's smoldering defensive mess, and what comes out of that is impossible to guess.
