2014 Bitcoin Bowl: UCF opens as 2.5-point favorite over the Wolfpack

This is an outrage! I'm just kidding, it's not a huge deal. Central Florida is the early favorite to win the inaugural Bitcoin Bowl along with all the fame and riches that entails. The Knights opened as a 2.5-point favorite to beat the Wolfpack, per Vegas Insider.

This is the seventh time this season that the Pack has been an underdog; State closed out the season as an underdog in four of its last five games but managed to win three of them (and cover the spread in four of them). The Pack was a favorite in just two league games, both of those at home (BC, Wake).

The over/under for the bowl game is 49 points, which seems reasonable since both of these offenses have been average or worse against FBS foes this year--State averaged 5.75 YPP against FBS teams, while UCF struggled at 4.95 YPP. Those numbers don't scream high-scoring affair, but then again this is a bowl game we're talking about so who knows.
