College football odds suggest canceling NC State's 2014 season

Some early college football lines are out and they do not, uh, bode particularly well for NC State's season ahead. Here are those lines, via Ryan Tice and Phil Steele:

Florida State (-30) at NC State

Thirty-point dogs, yeah, that sounds about right. NC State has so much to sort out and anyway is so far behind FSU from a talent/depth perspective that 30 points might be optimistic.

NC State at Clemson (-23)

Again, seems a good estimate, though it feels much shakier, mainly because I can't give Dabo Swinney credit ever for being good at anything. Plus the Tigers did lose Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins and ah the hell with it, we're going to lose this game who cares.

NC State at UNC (-20)

I read that like:

Shoot, man, 20 points. That is some 1996 Mack Brown UNC shit right there. Surely that line cannot represent an accurate appraisal of the gap between these two programs. I guess this is the ugly reality when Tom O'Brien and the incredibly persnickety horseshoe he had up his ass are no longer involved.
