Gavin Locklear and Ben Grazen earn Scholarships

Coach Doeren awarded scholarships to two walk-on wide receivers following Wednesday’s practice. Redshirt sophomores Ben Grazen and Gavin Locklear were called up after the conclusion of practice, and the scene played out like this:

Locklear looks to be a nice surprise for the Wolfpack’s receiving corps. He drew impressive reviews and was expected to be a contributor last season before suffering an unfortunate leg injury that would sideline him for the entire year. He was back on the field this spring and once again drew rave reviews from the coaches and quarterbacks. Expect Locklear to take advantage of his newly minted scholarship and become a dependable target for Brissett this season. With the significant losses State will deal with at receiver, both Locklear and Grazen could have opportunites to showcase their skills at the position and earn a spot in the rotation.

There was an outpouring of support and congratulations for the two from both the team and the fans.
