NC State holding open football practice for students on Friday

Here's a great idea submitted by the football players on the Leadership Council: open up a practice to students. This Friday, students will be admitted to practice with a valid student ID. The only bummer about this is it's after the start of the fall semester, which begins on Wednesday.

When: 9:45 a.m. - noon Friday
Where: Dail practice facility off Westchase Blvd, right near Carter-Finley Stadium
Parking: NC State recommends parking in the Close-King Indoor Facility lot across the street. But it ain't like there's a lack of options over there. 

Maybe they can go ahead and make this a tradition moving forward, so they can plan ahead and give kids a chance to attend a practice before the semester begins, if at all possible. I know it's a tight window between move-in and the start of the academic year, so maybe this isn't feasible.

Anyway, kudos to the players for suggesting this to Dave Doeren. I know I would have loved to have this opportunity when I was in school.
