Top 2016 NC State target Dennis Smith Jr. was in action on Sunday night at the Adidas Nations AAU event, and while his team advanced to the final, Smith missed the majority of the game after suffering a knee injury. The prognosis is still unknown at this point, but Smith's father had some encouraging words for the Fayetteville Observer.
Smith left the court on crutches, and based on this tweet from Harry Giles (another elite prospect), Smith and his family were waiting on test results this morning.
Put one up for my bro @Jhooper_3 pray all the results come back positive. You gone be good

Smith, for what it's worth, seems to be in decent spirits and has been active on the twitters since the injury.
Thank you for all the wishes.. Greatly appreciated!

We'll just have to wait and see.
Smith's team in the Adidas event, Team Wall, is playing Team Rose in the final Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on ESPNU. While Smith probably won't be playing, you can catch Bam Adebayo, who is on Team Rose.
