What with this still being September, we remain firmly in Tomato Can Season, which is to say that there isn't a lot of excitement in the early games, or in many of the mid-afternoon games, or just in general. Among the nooners, USF-Maryland could be comical, but certainly not good, and UNC has a treacherous home game against Illinois. (Just kidding--Illinois is a horror show that fired its coach right before the season because he was a massive dunce.)
But we can forget about that noon crap (football gods willing) with Notre Dame-Georgia Tech and LSU-Auburn, plus Nebraska-Miami in the 3:30 slot. Thursday and Friday both showcased the ACC's potential for #goacc, so why stop there? In all seriousness, though, people may finally stop overlooking Georgia Tech after what the Jackets do to the Irish.
Georgia Tech finished 2014 by trouncing the Pack, UVA, Pitt, Clemson, and Mississippi State; they beat Georgia in Athens; they also suffered a close loss to FSU in the ACC title game. That's the best team in the ACC until further notice, and they're gonna make it obvious in South Bend.
