This is a bummer.

It appears at least one more change to NC State's football staff is imminent, and this one should not be welcomed by anybody. Per USA Today's Dan Wolken, Wolfpack offensive line coach Mike Uremovich has accepted an offer to become the offensive coordinator at Northern Illinois.

This news comes a day after NC State opted to fire offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who came under increasing heat as the season evolved. Uremovich, by all accounts, is an excellent coach and well-liked by the players. He obviously played a key role in helping to re-shape the Wolfpack offense and help it move the ball on the ground more effectively.

Uremovich has a master's degree from Northern Illinois and coached there as an assistant with Dave Doeren in 2012, so this move seems like a logical one for the parties involved.

A couple of players chimed in on Twitter after the news broke:

It remains to be seen what impact this will have both in recruiting and on the field, but no doubt it stings a little bit right now. Dave Doeren has two crucial assistant coaching positions to fill--crucial to his offense, crucial to next season in general, and crucial to his tenure in Raleigh.
