After beating Syracuse on Saturday, NC State is back in the major polls for the first time since 2010. The Wolfpack checks in at No. 24 in both the AP and Coaches polls. The ACC has five ranked teams, led by Clemson at No. 2 in both polls. Amazingly, Florida State is not among those five.
I mean, their lack of ranking is justified, I just can’t say I saw FSU being unranked at the start of October.
Anyway, it’s good to see the Wolfpack back in the rankings, even though it doesn’t really mean anything. Seeing that number next to the school’s name a little bit validating to me. Let’s hope that can keep that number for a while!
Step one: beat Louisville and Lamar Jackson, which is of course no small task, but playing at home and under the lights helps. Ain’t like State could possibly play any worse than it did at Louisville last year.
