NC State opens as three-score favorite to beat UNC

That sounds good, let’s go with this.

NC State will return home to close out the regular season next weekend as a big favorite to beat the Tar Heels. The Wolfpack opened at around a 17-point favorite at most sportsbooks, and State hasn’t been this heavily favored in a game against UNC in more than a decade.

Nothing would ease the pain of this past weekend faster than a nice, comfortable win over UNC, I think we can all agree on that. So my advice to the football team is to in fact make everyone in Vegas look very smart, and perhaps even a little conservative in their estimate of the final scoring margin. If I were the NC State football team, I would score many many touchdowns this week to make sure that I win the game. But that’s just me.

Closing out strong is also important for bowl placement purposes since a trip to somewhere in Florida would be a whole lot better than a trip to, say, El Paso. Not that there’s anything wrong with El Paso, mind you.
