NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb is a likely top-10 NFL pick this spring, which has led folks to speculate on whether or not he’ll play in the Sun Bowl. With the game two days out, Chubb isn’t saying one way or the other, and neither is Dave Doeren, who stepped aside those questions Wednesday afternoon.

When asked if Bradley Chubb was a game-time decision: "No he's not, we're just not going to talk about it."

Chubb not participating in bowl practices probably says everything that needs sayin’, though. If he’s just running individual drills this close to kickoff, it’d be pretty surprising to see him suited up to play Arizona State on Friday afternoon. We’ll see. Seems like the team is acting like they already know Chubb won’t be playing, but I could be misreading what I’ve read/heard so far.
It’d be great to see Chubb in a State uniform one last time, but if he’s just a spectator on Friday, the Wolfpack should be fine. He’s earned the vacation if he wants it.
