Bradley Chubb picked up a nice piece for his trophy case on Monday night when he won the Bronko Nagurski Award, which is given to the nation’s top defensive player. Chubb also won ACC defensive player of the year honors this season.

This is the first of what could be multiple accolades this week: he is also a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which also goes the nation’s most outstanding defensive player. The winner of that award will be announced on Dec. 7 during the annual college football awards ceremony, which is televised by ESPN. That telecast will begin at 7 p.m. ET. Alabama’s Minkah Fitzpatrick and Georgia’s Roquan Smith are the other finalists for that trophy.
