It’s a long offseason, so here are some Matt Dayes highlights

If Matt Dayes had been healthy enough, he’d likely be heading into his pro career coming off of back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Didn’t work out that way, but he still managed to create a lot of highlights during his final two seasons at NC State.

Honestly, I wasn’t impressed with Dayes during the early part of his career here, but it did not take long for my opinion to change once he got his opportunity. Dude is methodical, decisive, smart, and he’s got a versatile skill set that we all saw on display throughout the 2016 season. That’ll serve him well in the NFL.

In the meantime we’ll just have to settle for highlights as modest tribute to an excellent four-year player. I have no doubt that Wake Forest’s secondary is glad to see Dayes leaving the ACC.
