Liberty announced a bunch of new additions to its future football schedules on Wednesday, including a road game at NC State in November of 2020. With this news, we know that the Wolfpack’s 2020 non-conference schedule is complete: home vs. Delaware, home vs. Mississippi State, home vs. Liberty, and a road game at Troy.

The Flames have agreements with six ACC schools for future games—interestingly enough, NC State is the only one of the six that did not enter into a home-and-home agreement.

Liberty got approval from the NCAA in February to begin transitioning to FBS, and the football team will be eligible for bowl games beginning in 2019. The Flames will play out their 2017 Big South schedule despite not being eligible for the league title since they are movin’ on up.

The following year will be a transitional one, with full FBS eligibility coming in ‘19. Point here is that although Liberty is still technically an FCS team now, by the time NC State plays these guys, they’ll be full FBS members. Delaware will be the lone FCS opponent on State’s schedule in 2020.

The Wolfpack and Flames last met in 2011 in a game State won 43-21.
