Highlights! Jaylen Samuels accounts for an easy hat trick as NC State blows out Furman

that was a good time and that was what we needed

NCAA Football: Furman at North Carolina State Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

Look, everyone, everything’s fine again! Football team’s fixed! NC State ran the ball well, won the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball with ease, forced a few turnovers, and scored a bunch of points. The breakout team is back!

Well, y’know, not really ... but the nice thing about playing a cupcake like Furman is they sure can make you feel good about everything for a few hours. Few of the problems that plagued NC State in the first two weeks were apparent on Saturday, and obviously, none mattered.

Jaylen Samuels was kindly handed a trio of very easy touchdowns by the coaching staff (hey, he’s earned those) and also had another fine grab, snagging a ball thrown over the middle and tipped by a Furman defender several yards in front of him.

That INT scare aside, Ryan Finley had no issue dismantling Furman’s defense and finished with only five incompletions on the afternoon. He had an easy task, especially with the run game working, and executed well. (Shame he couldn’t hit Harmon on that deep pass in the first half tho.)

Enjoy the friendly highlights while you can since cold harsh football reality likely returns next weekend.
