Carson Wise is 1-3 on field goal attempts this season despite not attempting a kick longer than 38 yards. He missed another short kick during NC State’s blowout of Furman this weekend, but Dave Doeren said Monday that he’s not making any changes.
Doeren said he still has faith in kicker Carson Wise. Added he's been consistent 45-in during practice... just missed the kick vs. Furman.

Not yet, anyway. I can’t imagine Wise has a lot of slack left at this point, even if Doeren is opting for the supportive route publicly. Then again, the alternative to Wise is still Kyle Bambard, so perhaps change is utterly pointless—movement that makes it look like you’re doing something but serves no other purpose. I dunno anymore, man.
Our worst fears have been confirmed over these first three games, and I guess regardless of who is kicking field goals the rest of the way, it can’t get any worse than the worst ... uh, right, everybody? Surely execution and performance will improve in a road environment against a top five team this Saturday.
