There are eight undefeated FBS teams left after this weekend, and only five undefeated power-conference programs (I’m lumping Notre Dame in here). NC State, of course, is one of them, and after thoroughly dismantling the bye week, the Wolfpack is moving up in the major human polls once again.

NC State is up to No. 15 in the Coaches Poll and No. 16 in the AP Poll. State moved up four spots in both cases. The Pack hopped past Wisconsin, Penn State, Miami, and Colorado and is the second-highest ranked ACC team behind Clemson. Okay, the only ranked ACC team other than Clemson after Miami fell out of both polls. Been that kind of year for the league.

The Wolfpack also moved up in the S&P+ ratings, from 22nd to 19th. Our guys really came out focused this bye week.

We now return to regularly scheduled game week programming—and it’s only the biggest game week of the year!
