BTP Pregame Predictions: Syracuse

So how’s this thing gonna go? Hopefully better than whatever that thing was that went down last week

NC State travels to upstate New York to take on the Orange of Syracuse in a battle to reach bowl eligibility. The Wolfpack have dominated the overall series with the Orange, winning 10 of 11, including all five matchups away from Carter-Finley; however, history won’t help on the field Saturday night.

Syracuse comes into the game having just ended a two-game skid with an overtime win against North Carolina. The Orange also enter the game with a bit of uncertainty at quarterback, but both senior Eric Dungey and freshman Tommy DeVito are likely to play, with each bringing a different skill set and style of play to the offense.

NC State will be looking to avoid their own mini-skid and get past a horrid performance a week ago at Clemson where the offense looked completely out of sorts and the defense was continually put in disadvantaged situations. The Wolfpack will need a better effort from everyone involved if they hope to get the ‘W’ up in New York.

Can NC State put last week behind them and not let Clemson beat them twice?

Each BTP contributor provides their score prediction below, plus a “classic” Twitter-esque 140 character-constrained comment on their predicted outcome. Let’s get to it!
