Highlights! Jakobi Meyers, NC State hang tough to beat UNC

Jakobi Meyers might have made the play of the NC State football season, given the circumstances of his circus sideline catch and what it meant to the outcome. The Wolfpack was down seven points at that point, and if he does not make the grab, the Pack is facing a 3rd-and-10 around midfield. Instead, State had a fresh set of downs in the red zone and the game was tied shortly thereafter.

If he doesn’t make that catch, maybe that drive stalls and NC State never gets the equalizer in regulation.

Meyers, by the way, is on a tear right now. Over the last four games, he has 33 catches for 449 yards and two touchdowns. He’s been over 100 yards in three of the four. He’s edged ahead of Kelvin Harmon for the team lead in receptions with 76. (Harmon has 75.)

We’ve been spoiled by Meyers and the rest of this receiving corps, and that’s been a heck of a lot of fun.
