NC State moves up to 14th in latest College Football Playoff rankings

The Wolfpack move up seven spots

The second edition of the 2018 College Football Playoff Committee’s in-season, kind-of-useless-but-something-to-talk-about rankings were released, and the NC State Wolfpack have moved up seven spots to the #14 position. It helps that a boatload of teams ranked ahead of State lost last week.

The Wolfpack’s leap up the polls was the largest of any team this week - and given that it’s just the second iteration of the CFP rankings this year, it was also the largest of any team this year (yay, small data pool!).

Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Michigan would be the teams in the playoff if the season were to end today. Syracuse (13th) and Boston College (17th) are the only other ACC teams to be ranked this week.
