NC State has two players on the preseason All-ACC team, and not surprisingly, both guys are from the offensive side. Quarterback Ryan Finley was the leading vote-getter at his position and wide receiver Kelvin Harmon also made the squad with the second-most votes among receivers.
Finley also finished third in player of the year voting, behind Boston College running back A.J. Dillon and Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. Dillon would have been my pick as well, if I actually had a vote in this thing.
Clemson’s entire front four made the all-conference squad and has eight players total on the team. It’s anyone’s guess, really, but I personally feel good about Clemson competing for a division title in 2018.
Here’s a fun fact: 12 of the 13 players to earn preseason honors on the offensive side play in the Atlantic Division. The Coastal’s lone representative is an offensive lineman from Georgia Tech.
