NC State’s first official two-deep is out, and there are a few surprises scattered throughout, including freshman Tyler Baker-Williams being listed third on the depth chart at running back. Baker-Williams flipped from the defensive side to provide depth while some of the other guys at the position continue to heal.
I’m guessing his stint at running back is just temporary.
The Wolfpack lists Kishawn Miller and Chris Ingram as the co-starters at cornerback opposite Nick McCloud. Stephen Griffin is on the depth chart at nickel, which is a good sign for his health, though Dave Doeren made clear this afternoon that Griffin definitely isn’t 100% yet.
Up front, we have an Emanuel McGirt sighting—the former five-star tackle recruit has won the backup job at left tackle. He’s finally healthy.
True freshmen Alim McNeill and Joe Boletepeli are listed as reserves at defensive tackle and defensive end, respectively.
Maurice Trowell will handle the kickoff return duties, while Thayer Thomas will return punts.
