We’re a few weeks out from the season-opener, so I figured it a good time to poll the BTP constituency, mainly so I can avoid any and all blame for predictions regarding football.
NC State was tabbed for third in the Atlantic Division by the media this season, which was fair but certainly not in the offseason spirit of ignoring all of the flaws of one’s favorite team.
Seriously, though, if you had to set aside your gut feels—and you also pointed and shamed your gut by saying “no, not right now, not for these five minutes” and then made a scene in turning your back to your gut—how would you honestly evaluate NC State’s position within the Atlantic this season?
NC State has a lot of media respect after last season, but is it merited given the personnel that’s moved on? How would you argue State ahead of Boston College or Wake Forest or Louisville this year?
