Stephen Louis out vs. JMU with leg injury; Dukes without 2 key defensive starters

Injury bombshells droppin’ right before kickoff.

NCAA Football: North Carolina State at North Carolina Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

NC State will be without wide receiver Stephen Louis against James Madison on Saturday afternoon. Louis has a “minor” leg injury, per the N&O’s Joe Giglio. That’s a bummer, but better safe than sorry, and NC State will be able to compensate for his absence.

The news is much worse for James Madison, which needs all hands on deck today. The Dukes will not have All-American cornerback Rashad Robinson today or at any point all season—he had surgery this week and is done for the year, the JMU student paper reports. His absence could have a significant impact on the game today.

The Dukes will also be without their most talented pass-rusher, as Darrious Carter is serving a suspension, Pack Pride reports. James Madison will also be without starting middle linebacker Landan Word. These are huge setbacks for that defense, and should make life a lot easier on the Wolfpack this afternoon.
