West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen not keen on moving the Mountaineers-Wolfpack game

The odds of the West Virginia-NC State game being played as scheduled this Saturday seem to be decreasing with every passing hour as Hurricane Florence, now a Category 4 storm, bears down on the east coast.

And if it can’t be played Saturday, I’m not loving the chances of it being rescheduled, at least not based on what Dana Holgorsen said during his radio show on Monday night.

West Virginia begins league play the weekend after this one, so I understand the unwillingness to push the game back to Sunday. (Of course, the damage done by Florence might make playing a day later logistically impossible anyway.) And I’d be surprised if moving the game up is seriously on the table this week. In any event, Holgo no interest! Holgo must say no to you!

If these remarks are also an indication of where WVU officials stand on the matter, then I guess we’d best hope that Florence decides to make a dramatic change in course over the next couple of days.

NC State has already cancelled classes on campus beginning Wednesday night.
