Week 5 Football: What to watch

Here’s what’s on the schedule this week around the ACC and the immediate region, plus keeping an eye on the Wolfpack’s 2018 opponents and other potentially intriguing national games.

There’s (thankfully) a much better slate of games this week, including a slew of primetime Saturday night match-ups that should make your Sunday morning all the more rough.

As for intra-conference ACC games:

• A Miami squad that has rebounded well from an early ugly loss to LSU hosts a surprisingly not winless UNC-CH on Thursday night
• Clemson will probably destroy Syracuse in retaliation for last year’s game in the Carrier Dome
• A surging Virginia squad will hit the road for a tough game against NC State
• What was thought in the preseason to be an interesting matchup between Florida State and Louisville is now must-avoid television
• And congratulations, everyone! We all live in an instance where Duke is a definitive favorite vs Virginia Tech in football. What a time to be alive!
