It’s Senior Bowl week, which means a lot of the country’s best pro prospects are getting the chance to show what they can do in front of NFL scouts. Outside of the NFL Combine, this is one of the most important offseason events for the players, and NC State has four guys there: Ryan Finley, Germaine Pratt, Garrett Bradbury, and Jakobi Meyers.
Meyers earned a good bit of praise from onlookers for his performance in practice on Tuesday.
Its Senior Bowl practice but the NC State connection lives on. QB Ryan Finley hits WR Jakobi Meyers for a LONG gain. pic.twitter.com/977XHijeIf— Steve Frederick (@_SteveFrederick) January 22, 2019
The WR group here at the Senior Bowl continues to impress. Seems like every rep someone pops. #NCState WR Jakobi Meyers has been making plays.— Tommy Call III (@tommy_III) January 22, 2019
Are there any NC State fans surprised by this? No, no I don’t think so. We already knew Meyers has a chance to be a good NFL receiver, and perhaps he’s going to make himself a little money this week. Having your college quarterback on the same team certainly doesn’t hurt.
According to reports, Meyers has had interviews with both the Colts and the Chiefs, and I’m sure he’ll have plenty of interest beyond those two.
