Highlights! Highlights? NC State tops Syracuse for 1st ACC win

I’m being told there were highlights.

NC State’s game against Syracuse was a lot like its game against Florida State in that there were about three plays I care to remember for any period of time. On the bright side, the Pack’s sack rate continues to rise. On the down side, the Pack’s existential crisis rate also continues to rise.

Anyway here’s some video or whatever.

That trick play was a dandy, and we did see more chunk plays through the air than we’ve come to expect up to this point. So that was nice. The rest of it, though, from the offense’s perspective was extremely forgettable. State’s played two ACC games and been held under 20 points both times while making a habit out of squandering touchdown opportunities. It’s difficult to be optimistic about the second half of the schedule, forgivable as it is, so long as the execution, quarterback play, and play-calling are a grab bag of bleh.

Er, I mean uh, yay winning!
