Winston-Salem is a four-letter word for NC State fans, but the Wolfpack have found success there over the years. Actually, the series is dead even at 16-16 in games played in Winston-Salem, although NC State is just 1-7 in the last eight match-ups between the two played there.

So let’s focus on that last win!

The year was 2015. It was a simpler time. A late October noon kickoff between the Wolfpack and the Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem. NC State had already been saddled with two ACC losses, and the offense was becoming a major question mark against ACC opponenets... hmm...

Just watch the highlights and enjoy:

Now, if you’d like to watch the entirety of that game, our favorite YouTuber CylonWolf has you covered.

Big plays were the story of the day and carried the Pack to a huge first quarter lead and ultimate victory. The box score is pretty awesome. Matt Dayes ran for 205 yards and a pair of scores and Jacoby Brissett threw two long TD passes.

So let’s just take a bit and live in the glory that was that win. And, yeah, hope for a repeat this Saturday.
