Week 7 Football: What to watch

What’s that? This article is out a day early? Think again, my good friend. It’s Wednesday. It’s game day in the Fun Belt! Just wait until we get to the Tuesday night MACtion games later in the year!

Our old friend Eli Drinkwitz will be treating us to some nice Wednesday evening footballs on the ESPN Deuce as Happy Appy heads into a road contest against a very good Louisiana-Lafayette team. That game should be a lot of fun, so do yourself a favor and watch it.

There’s this thing going on in Raleigh on Thursday night. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Friday features more ACC action with Virginia @ Miami. An under-performing Virginia offense against a Miami team that can’t not give the ball away. Sign me up! At least if that one’s horrible at half, you can switch over to what could be a good game between Colorado and Oregon... actually... well. Whatever.

Saturday’s got plenty of great match-ups, and it all kicks off with the Red River Rivalry at noon. State fairs and football! Yes!

Aside from the obvious games (Oklahoma-Texas, USC-ND, Florida-LSU), I’m intrigued by the Louisville @ Wake Forest and the Hawaii @ Boise State games. Is Louisville as good as they looked last weekend, or is Wake for real? Can Hawaii hang enough points to upset Boise State?

Dang, I just love football so much. Let’s do this!
