So it’s come to this: your favorite college football team is an underdog to a real bad Georgia Tech team. How did things get this far? What have we done to ourselves? Where do we go from here? Is there a point at all to any of this?
NC State-Georgia Tech opened as a pick ‘em but the line has since moved to Georgia Tech -1.5 or so. Sure, the Wolfpack would be the slight favorite on a neutral field, and no actually that’s not helping me feel any better about this dumb season.
The Yellow Jackets had been playing a little better prior to getting housed by Virginia Tech over the weekend: they won in Miami somehow, then gave Pitt a decent game, then lost by only five points at Virginia. Those moral victories count in year one of a coaching tenure, I suppose.
They also don’t give much reason to expect Tech to just roll over this week even though the Jackets are assured a losing season and have little to play for. But we can hope!
