Payton Wilson was arrested early Saturday morning in the Glenwood south area and charged with resisting a public officer, possession of a fake ID, underage consumption of alcohol, and injury to personal property. Happy holidays!

I can’t help but feel bad for him since he was probably just blowing off steam after exam week, but doing that while underaged obviously comes with a lot of risks. There was also a fight on Glenwood Avenue around the time of Wilson’s arrest, according to Raleigh police, though it’s not clear what his role was (if any) in it.
On the bright side, it’s not like Wilson has to worry about being suspended for a bowl game. Dave Doeren I’m sure will handle the matter internally and this isn’t going to threaten Wilson’s status with the team, since it falls closer to the stupid-but-harmless end of the spectrum.
