NC State unveils alternate football uniforms for Syracuse game

NC State will be wearing some alternate uniforms on national television again in 2019, this time for the Thursday-nighter against Syracuse, which is also Military Appreciation Day. The uniform combo, which they’ve dubbed “Stealth Wolf,” is not a dramatic departure from what we’ve seen recently.

The Wolfpack actually wore a similar getup in the Carrier Dome last season (see the photo heading this article), just with silver highlights rather than black ones. The silver works a lot better than the black with this concept, I think, but we’ve done worse. The giant Tuffy helmet logo is always a great look.

And anyhow, these things are always done with recruits in mind, not the nitpicky alumni among us. Lookin’ forward to seeing how they look on the field.
