James Smith-Williams and Justin Witt will represent NC State at the 2019 ACC Kickoff

ACC football media days are a couple of weeks away, which means that it’s beginning to feel slightly mildly a wee-sorta-bit like college football season. Just think, after this week, and then the next week, and then several more weeks, and then after some additional weeks beyond those, there will be football!

Each school sends a pair of player representatives to media days, which begin this year on July 17. The Wolfpack is sending senior defensive end James Smith-Williams and junior offensive tackle Justin Witt, both of whom figure to be standouts on the field this fall. JSW received the honor of wearing the No. 1 jersey for the Pack this year.

While we don’t usually get too much out of the athletes or coaches at these things, maybe there will be some nuggets of interest from John Swofford, seeing as how we’ll be just barely a month from the ACC Network’s launch at that point. ESPN and the ACC still don’t have carriage agreements with any of the big cable distributors.
