The ACC’s preseason media poll was released on Monday and the consensus among those folks is that NC State will finish fourth in the Atlantic Division. Clemson is of course the overwhelming favorite to win the Atlantic as well as the league title. It’d be a pretty substantial upset if that doesn’t happen, but there are a couple of Syracuse homers who think the Orange will overcome the long odds and finish ahead of the Tigers.

Virginia was picked to win the Coastal, beating out Miami. Amusingly enough, every single team in the Coastal received at least one first-place vote. Apparently it’s offseason optimism time for certain media members as well. Dare to dream!
