Can you bet on college football quarterback competitions? Well sure you can! I don’t know why this would surprise me, but it did. One Las Vegas sportsbook handicapped a bunch of these QB battles, NC State’s included. Matt McKay is the favorite by a pretty significant margin.

Nothing says America quite like being able to wager some cash on the prospects of a random third-stringer somewhere. Like Rutgers, say. I don’t know anything about this year’s Rutgers team, but now that I can bet on its QB competition, I kind of want to. Feel a little compelled to do it.
I don’t think there’s any value to be had with the NC State odds since McKay feels like a foregone conclusion to me. Plus I’ve forbidden injuries from occurring, so they cannot be a factor.
