If you aren’t into cheap domestics (which in this case will be not-so-cheap) like Coors Light, you’ll have a couple of options at Carter-Finley Stadium this fall: Old Tuffy, of course, as well as Trophy Brewing’s Cloud Surfer IPA, per WRAL’s Lauren Brownlow.
Old Tuffy will come in 19.2-ounce cans, while the other beers come in 16-ounce cans. Truly hard seltzer will also be available and these beverages will cost eight or nine bucks. Which ain’t that bad by sporting event standards, though I’m sure plenty of folks will balk at that when they have beer sitting back at the tailgate.
State officials have done a nice job with the selection given the short notice on in-stadium beer sales, which have only been legal for a couple of months now. With more time to plan things out moving forward, I’d imagine there will be a broader craft beer selection in the years to come.
