Who’s ready for some silver linings! Sure, Saturday was a rough one in general for NC State, which needed to play a whole lot better than it did to pull off the upset in Chapel Hill. It was very much not State’s day, as evidenced by that bobble-turned-pick by a wide open Dylan Parham in the end zone. So it goes.
On the bright side, though, the Pack’s offensive line turned in one of the top performances of the weekend, according to Pro Football Focus’ evaluation.
Highest-graded power five OLs in Wk 8:
— PFF College (@PFF_College) October 26, 2020
1. Ohio State - 81.4
2. Alabama - 78.6
3. NC State - 78.5
4. Kentucky - 77.6 pic.twitter.com/qNzirnZ5gu
State did manage to throw for a season-high 358 yards on a season-high 8.1 yards per attempt, though the Pack fell too far behind too quickly for that to have any bearing on the outcome. And there were the three interceptions.
But at least there are some positives for the Pack to take into this bye week as it gets ready for another opponent with superior talent. This is as good a team as any to re-evaluate some things.
