Alim McNeill has had a heck of a year anchoring NC State’s defense, and he’s been one of the highest-graded players at defensive tackle this season according to Pro Football Focus. He announced this morning that he’s going to take the next step in his career and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
Love you all Wolfpack Nation, it’s been a wonderful experience here at NC State...#DreamOut pic.twitter.com/93lphBW9KM

Alim definitely improved his draft prospects with his performance in 2020, and I don’t know what else he could prove with another year of college football. Best to go on and start getting paid for all those hits.
He will be missed, no doubt, but this is the right move for his career. Dude’s been a lot of fun to watch this season, and he deserves a lot of credit for helping the Wolfpack program get back on track after the 2019 disaster. He also gave us probably the highlight of the NC State football season with his incredible pick-six against UVA.
Best wishes to the big fella at the next level.
