Since most football prospects sign during the early signing period these days, the February signing day has become a bit of an afterthought, but most schools still make at least a few additions at this point.
NC State remained active in recruiting for 2020 during January, and added three commitments, all of whom signed this week. The highest rated among those is in-state offensive lineman Anthony Carter, who is a top-25 player in North Carolina who held offers from several other ACC programs.
The Wolfpack also added a couple of three-star defensive line prospects from out of state: Claude Larkins, from Hollywood, FL, and Nick Booker-Brown, from Houston, TX. Larkins is a defensive end prospect, while Booker-Brown is expected to play on the interior.
The only player in State’s 2020 class (I think) to commit before the December signing period and opt not to sign at that point was wide receiver Joshua Crabtree, who also signed with the Pack this week. Crabtree played at Heritage High School right up the road in Wake Forest, NC.
With those additions, NC State’s class finishes at 41st in the 247 Composite team rankings.
