We’re gonna switch this thing up today, and we’ll start here: when’s the first time you heard of Philip Rivers? I mean, when is the first time you ever heard of Philip Rivers, just tangentially or that first realization that he was going to be great?

Folks, let me tell you the incredible story of when I first became aware of Philip Rivers. It’s actually giving me too much credit to say that I realized what Philip Rivers was doing, since he was just a guy who represented a number on ESPN’s Bottom Line, and I was just coming back from a baseball game.

It was my junior year of high school, and my dad took me on a baseball trip to Chicago—the Sox were playing the Angels—and so for the sake of continuity here’s my nerd-ass
