BTP The Offseason, Day 141: How about we leave the ACC’s football divisions in the trash

It only took a national health crisis to get there, but finally we have an ACC football schedule built without any use of divisions. This is just the sort of thing that folks like Debbie Yow have wanted for a long time. The league will go back to its standard divisional format after this year, but isn’t it nice just for a moment to imagine a future without divisions?

It’d be nice to have schedules that rotate through opponents more quickly on an annual basis, but alas, that makes too much sense to be implemented, so we have to live with continued imbalance between the Atlantic and Coastal. Well, in 2021, anyway. For now we’re on a football vacation from that crap.
